POW/MIA Recognition Vigil September 17, 2023

The American Legion Holley-Riddle Post 21, The Colony, TX hosted a Keeping the Hope Alive evening vigil at the Stewart Creek Park on the shores of Lake Lewisville. Master of Ceremonies was Mary Garcia, Post 21 Commander.  Distinguished guests included The Colony Mayor Richard Boyer, Coppell Community Chorale, and Ron C. Nims and family. Ron's father, Capt. Bruce K. Nims, is MIA from the Koran War.  Ron discussed the tragedy of losing his father and the family's mission of Keeping the Hope Alive. The vigil concluded with Dan Ivey, Bugler, Post 21 Honor Guard sounding Taps at sunset.
